The Brief

I was approached by a Gothenburg startup to help define and design their Visual Identity. They act in a niche intersection of Outdoor and Streetwear.

My job was to make the meeting of these two worlds work together in sync. They wanted something that conveyed Outdoor Lifestyle but aimed at The Urban Population. In Outneer you will be able to walk the streets in style one minute and wander the woods, protected and flexible the next.


Topography is the study of the shape and features of land surfaces. The topography of an area could refer to the surface shapes and features themselves, or a description (especially their depiction in maps).

I wanted to use this as a pattern through out, reminding the wearer where their garments could take them. I chose a subtle off-white coloring for a vintage feeling.


The simplistic fireplace is a symbol of hiking and the outdoors. A warm place for people to gather and sing their kumbayas.

Outneer is also something for outdoor fans to unite around and embrace. The cross also resembles “vandrings led” a sign for trekking route.


Typography is the origin of language and of human communication. Moreover typography is the fundament of our culture, of ourselves. Only through language we as the human race could evolve.

The wordmark has a vintage feel to it, it could’ve been placed on the sign of a camp. The rounded corners bring some friendliness and is welcoming.

It all comes together in sweet, sweet harmony.
